Schools and Visits – Week Commencing 16th November 2015
Before thinking about our visit this week, all the staff at The Open Centre would like to express our condolences to all the families, in all the countries around the world that have been affected by the recent terrorist attacks. Now more than ever it is important that people come together from all communities where we can all promote understanding between different communities by celebrating and raising awareness of different faiths and cultural heritage. At the Open Centre, we aim to promote good community relations between British citizens, no matter what their background or belief through our services using personal experiences.
Despite the recent terrorist attacks, thankfully schools are still visiting the Open Centre and supporting our ethos of celebrating diversity.
Ridgeway Infant School visited the Mosque, Hindu Temple and the Sikh Gurdwara, whilst the mobile exhibition was on display at the Church Schools Conference in Swanwick.
The Mars Cub Scout Pack visited the Sikh Gurdwara early Tuesday Evening.
